Door holders

April 10th - December 31st, 2018

“Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper [door holder] in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.” —Psalm 84:10

We say Door Holders instead of volunteers because volunteers can sound like people who randomly sign up and hopefully show up, while Door Holders take ownership and take great pleasure in opening a way for others to see and experience Jesus.

Who we are:

Door Holders are people who take great pleasure in opening the way for others to experience Jesus.

What we do:

Door Holders see and serve the people they encounter throughout our House.

Child dedication

Child Dedication @ Church

April 10th - December 31st, 2018

PARENTS: Periodically, we offer opportunities for our parents of young children or babies, to publicly DEDICATE their child(ren) to the Lord. This tends to be a very meaningful experience for you, as a parent, and for our church family.

Parents, you will be committing to accept the role of primary spiritual leader of your child(ren) and this moment can empower you to do that.

Your church family will also commit to supporting you and your role of spiritual leader.

This child dedication does not take the place of the child’s decision to trust Jesus as their Savior at some point.

Child Dedication is when the parents decide to raise their children in a Christian home. Baptism is when the person decides to trust/follow Jesus.

Here is a sneak peak at what takes place.

If you are extended family and friends, please stand so we can recognize you.

We ask the parents to write and read a special blessing for their child. There’s something special about speaking a blessing over a child in this moment.

Now, will you be willing to read your blessing to child’s name and allow us to listen in support?

Will you, as child’s name family, promise to love him/her unconditionally as God loves you? Will you promise to teach him/her to pray so he/she can learn how to talk with and listen to God? Will you demonstrate what it looks like to trust God in every area of your life, so that he/she can see what it looks like to trust God? Will you read the Bible to him/her so that he/she can appreciate God’s Word as a light to direct his/her path in life? Will you teach him/her the value of godly love, compassion, service and generosity? Will you make sure child’s name_ grows up in the family of God by faithfully participating in church?

We as members of Radiant Life Fellowship also have a responsibility to these families as they guide their children toward a loving relationship with God.

Will you commit to pray for this family and for child’s name_____? Will you look for opportunities to talk about God with _child’s name______ and demonstrate what it looks like to trust God with every area of your life? Will you help child’s name__ be a part of the family of God here at Radiant Life Fellowship and he/she discovers how God has uniquely created him/her for His purposes.

Present each family with a certificate and a Bible

Childcare reimbursement image

Childcare Reimbursement Form

April 20th - December 31st, 2020

We understand that the expense of childcare can be a deterrent to participating in a Life Group (or Leadership Training or Adult Discipleship event). Because we are committed to removing as many obstacles as possible, the church reimburses group participants (who request it) at a predetermined rate for their childcare expenses, if needed.

  1. You find and schedule a babysitter.
  2. You pay the babysitter.
  3. You submit the completed form to the church within 14 days of Group Meeting:

•Mail it to the church PO Box 331 Huntersville, NC 28070
•Turn it in the offering basket (or Joy Bucket) on Sundays
•Email it to the church Book
  4. Radiant Life will reimburse you according to the “childcare reimbursement chart”. If you choose to pay the babysitter more that is up to you.

  5. A reimbursement check is mailed to you at the end of each month

Please note that childcare reimbursement requests will only be accepted for Life Group events occurring within the last 30 days.

Movies In The Park gives us a chance to draw a large crowd, from the community, show them loving hospitality, and invite them to church.

We’re going to need lots of DOOR-HOLDERS (what we call volunteers) to pull off this big event. Would you please sign up to volunteer. We’ll make sure all of you get a Radiant Life T-Shirt.

As far as activities go, we'll have adventure activities like an obstacle course, a day at the lake, and an original field game called EPIC World Domination, athletic tournaments, creative activities like an art studio, open mic, and talent show, and a quad activity area that includes cornhole, quiz bowl, dance, improv, gaga ball, nine-square and more.

Crossroads has high-quality speakers and worship leaders, but what truly sets Crossroads apart is their summer camp staff. They hire and train the best college students from across the US, and they're eager to pour into our students and develop long-lasting relationships with them.
